Editorial policy

Last updated

This page describes how Tech Day Book researches, writes and corrects its articles.

Clear, useful answers

Every article starts with a reader question. We aim to answer it directly, explain unfamiliar terms and use comparisons, checklists and illustrations where they make a decision easier.

Sourcing and verification

Material claims are supported by documented sources, including specifications, standards, official product documentation and established reporting. Links let readers check the details for themselves.

Where sources disagree or a specification is unclear, we explain the uncertainty. Product capabilities are scoped to the relevant model, service or version. Manufacturer specifications are attributed to their source.

Editorial bylines

James Carter, Daniel Brooks and Emma Reed are editorial pen names for our AI, Gadgets and Everyday Tech desks. Their author pages describe the scope of each byline.

Illustrations

Editorial illustrations help explain an article’s subject. Essential instructions and factual comparisons remain in the article text and linked sources.

Corrections and updates

Substantive corrections are described in the article and reflected in its updated date. Routine site rebuilds do not change that date.
